Tanudan, Kalinga – Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag’s vision of building a multi-purpose infrastructure in communities in Tanudan is slowly materializing with the ongoing construction of four more open gymnasiums in the municipality.

Dagadag wanted to build an all-weather structure where the people in Tanudan could conduct their activities and events in their areas.

“Iti mission tayo habang siyak pay lang ti mayor ket mapatakderan ti amin nga barangays ti Tanudan ti gymnasium tapnu haanen nga agproblema ti umili nu adda activities da kada programa da iti barangay ta addan dayta gymnasium nga nakasagana latta uray nu agin-init man wennu agtudtudo,” he said.

For this reason, the mayor has been allotting a portion of the 20% share of his office from the Internal Revenue Allotment of Tanudan.

In spite of the limited source of funding, two open gymnasiums have already been completed in the municipality specifically at Seet, Mabaca, and Banagao, Poblacion.

The same infrastructure is currently under construction in Gaang, Taloctoc, Anggacan in Mangali, and Lubo, according to Designate Information Officer and Executive Assistant John Ryan Awingan.

Awingan specified that the one in Lubo is almost finished, saying that its flooring and stage are the only ones left to be constructed. He added that it can now be utilized by the constituents while waiting for its next funding.
