47-yr.-old kulong-kulong driver killed in head-on collision in Abulug, Cagayan

Abulug, Cagayan – A 47-year-old man died over the weekend after a kulong-kulong and a motorcycle collided head-on along the national road in Barangay Pinili, Abulug, Cagayan.

 

The casualty, hidden in the name “Cris”, a resident of Pamplona, Cagayan, was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at the Far North Luzon General Hospital in Luna, Apayao.

 

Based on the initial report of the Abulug Police Station, the accident occurred at midnight (11:47 p.m.) on Sunday, August 25.

 

Cris was on board a kulong – kulong that did not have a license plate. The report said the kulong-kulong collided with a motorcycle driven by Alyas Vilmor, 26.

 

Following an emergency call from a concerned citizen, Abulug police proceeded to the scene of the accident and found Cris and Vilmor lying on the road.

 

They rushed the two to the said hospital, but Cris succumbed to his injuries, while Vilmor is currently recuperating at the hospital.

 

At present, further investigations are now being conducted by the police to determine what caused the crash.
