50-yr.-old man dies after motorcycle crashes into car in Gamu, Isabela

Gamu, Isabela - A 50-year-old man in Isabela died after his motorcycle crashed into a car evening of Monday, Nov. 13, 2023.

Accordingly, the casualty identified as Alexander Tomas Viernes was traversing the national road in Barangay Guibang using his Honda XRM.

Viernes then encroached on the opposite lane, causing him to hit the oncoming Toyota Vios, said the car driver, Gener Galolo Gangani, a 38-year-old soldier, when he was asked by the police.

Gangani further disclosed that he was about to go to the town of Naguilian, Isabela when the incident transpired.

Due to the impact of the collision, the victim sustained severe injuries to various parts of his body and was taken to a hospital by the responding authorities but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Both vehicles involved in the incident are now at Gamu Police Station for proper disposition.

Gangani, meanwhile, will be facing charges for Reckless Inprudence Resulting in Homicide and Damage to property.
