53-yr.-old mom stabbed by daughter refuses to file charges

Isabela, Philippines – In spite of suffering stab wounds from her daughter, a 53-year-old widow from Santiago City refused to file charges.

The woman was injured on the head and arm, XFM Santiago reported on November 20.

Santiago police, in their investigation, found out that the victim had a drinking spree with her 30-year-old daughter at their home in Barangay Patul. However, while they were drinking, the two allegedly had a heated argument which provoked the younger woman.

The suspect grabbed a knife and attacked her own mother, stabbing her once in the head and twice in the arm.

The victim was able to seek help from their neighbor who rushed her to Southern Isabela Medical Center SIMC where she is currently recovering from her wounds.

Authorities arrested the suspect and brought her to police custody.

The 53-year-old mother, however, refused to file charges against her daughter saying she had already forgiven her, and for the sake of her 2-year-old grandchild.
