Tabuk City, Kalinga – About 57.11 percent of the population of the prioritized groups in the province has already been inoculated against the Covid-19 virus as of Monday, August 2, 2021.

Data from the Provincial Health Office and the Department of Health-Kalinga showed that out of the 41,750 individuals recorded in their master list, and who are part of the A1 (healthcare workers and their immediate family), A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (persons with comorbidities) groups, 23,843 are already fully vaccinated.

Out of the total vaccinated individuals, 1,909 are from Balbalan, 786 are from Lubuagan, 1,111 are from Pasil, 2,579 are from Rizal, 3,282 are from Pinukpuk, 968 are from Tanudan, and 955 are residents of Tinglayan.

As for data per municipality, Balbalan has vaccinated about 63 percent of its 3,030 masterlisted individuals, 35.53 percent of the 2,212 prioritized from Lubuagan, 43.64 percent of the 2,546 listed in Pasil, 79.58 percent of those 3,230 in Rizal, 53.79 percent of the 6,101 listed in Pinukpuk, 59.24% of the 20,682 from Tabuk, 55.54% of the 1,743 listed in Tanudan and 43.29 percent of the 2,206 priority individuals in Tinglayan.

PHO-Kalinga said that allocation of the vaccines is based on the number of master listed individuals submitted by municipal/city governments units to their office.

For said reason, individuals who are part of the priority groups in the province are now encouraged by the office to go to their Rural Health Units for master listing, and get vaccinated once their schedules are set.

As for those who already received their jabs, they are reminded to continue adhering to minimum health standards even after being vaccinated.
