58-yr.-old storekeeper in Tuba, Benguet dies after in stabbing attack

Tuba, Benguet -  A homicide case was filed this Friday, November 15, 2024, against a man who killed a 58-year-old female storekeeper in Sitio Caucalan, Taloy Sur, Tuba, Benguet earlier this week.

The suspect was identified as Lindon Narupa Logronio, 36, single, and a native of Tubao, La Union.

According to the report from the Tuba Municipal Police Station obtained by DZWT 540 AM - Radyo Totoo, the tragic incident transpired on Monday, November 11, at the store where the victim was working.

The report said Logronio stabbed the victim with a sharp object for yet-to-be-known reasons.

The victim, later identified as Rosa Alilis Pagnas, succumbed to the stab wounds from she sustained from the attack. At present, police are still investigating the circumstances behind the case and the motive behind the crime.

Logronio, meanwhile, will be subjected to inquest proceedings in the coming days, while a homicide case was filed against him on November 15.

The recommended bail amount for his temporary release is at P120,000.
