6 individuals injured in Tabuk City motorcycle collision

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Six individuals in Tabuk City were rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries from a road crash that transpired along the Provincial Road in Laya East on Saturday morning, October 19.

 

Police accounts stated that the accident involved two motorcycles – a Euro 125 which came from San Julian and a Euro Sports which came from Balong at the time of the incident. These two vehicles were supposed to head to Dagupan, but when they reached the crossing in Purok Saranay in Laya East, the motorcycles collided.

 

The impact of the collision sent both vehicles and their occupants on the ground.

 

Driver of the Euro 125 identified by the police as Robin Lastimosa, 18, sustained head injury while his back riders Minar Santos and a 10-year-old were likewise injured. The same case also happened to the driver of the Euro Sports, John Mark Javier, 28, who incurred head injury while his two back riders, Romeo Javier, 52, and a 2-year-old were also injured.

 

These six were rushed by the responding team from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Bureau of Fire Protection to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

 

Road accidents remain as one of the concerns in Kalinga with 35 incidents documented by the police from July to September 2024. This is higher compared to the 21 cases of the same period last year.
