61st Tanudan Day set to kick off on May 18 with ball games

Tanudan, Kalinga – Promoting fitness and wellness among the constituents, the 61st Tanudan Day celebration and the 9th Kape Festival are set to kick off with sports activities.

This year’s founding anniversary celebration of the municipality will open on May 18 in Banagao, Poblacion.

Tanudan Information Officer Designate and Executive Assistant, John Ryan Awingan, informed that the opening of the town festival will be highlighted by ball games like basketball and volleyball which will be played by the constituents.

He added that the Tanudan Local Government Unit, headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, opted to kick off the festival with games to display the skills and abilities of the youth and adults in sports while promoting fitness and wellness among the people.

After the opening on May 18, various activities are lined up for the month-long activity which will culminate on June 26.

According to Awingan, there will be events highlighting the Tanudan agricultural products, the beauty and brains of yTanudans, and the town’s traditional practices.

In a statement, Mayor Dagadag invites his constituents and visitors to participate and witness the rich cultural heritage of Tanudan through several activities prepared for the 61st Tanudan Founding Anniversary and 9th Kape Festival celebration.

“Umay kayo amin ta adu dagiti activities nga naisagana para ditoy panang-celebrate tayo manen iti Tanudan Day. Haan lang nga taga Tanudan, nu di ket amin ket welcome nga umay makipagragsak ken mang-witness iti kinamayat iti ili tayo a Tanudan,” he said.
