625 families affected by TY Marce in Pudtol; Mayor Pascua leads relief operations




Pudtol, Apayao- Initial report from MSWDO’s DROMIC data as of 6PM, Nov.8 showed 625 families, or 1,779 individuals have been affected by Typhoon Marce across the 21 barangays.


Of said number, Barangay Alem reported the highest number of families affected totaling to 129; followed by Barangay Imelda with 100 families; then Swan with 67; San Jose with 38; Lower Maton with 33; Upper Maton with 32; Mataguisi with 31; Aurora with 31; Cacalaggan with 21; Población with 21; Capanikkian with 18; Lydia with 17; Dona Loreta with 17; San Mariano with 16; Cabatacan with 12; Aga with 11; San Luis with 10; Emilia with 8; Lt. Balag with 6; Malibang with 4; and Amado with 3, being the least affected.


The number of displaced families reached 578 or 1,629 individuals, while the consolidation of damaged houses is still on-going. Despite the hazards of Typhoon Marce to properties, there were no casualties reported.


According to the data from the MSWDO, P346,884.90 thousand worth of assistance have been delivered serving over 434 families or 1, 200 individuals. Moreover, 34 evacuation centers have served as temporary refuge and shelter for said affected.


Due to the strength of the typhoon and continuous rain downpour, the number of reported damages may increase after reports from all barangays are consolidated.


Mayor Hector Reuel Pascua, meantime, spearheaded the relief operations in the affected barangays and assured the residents of the government’s interventions for faster recovery.
