63-yr.-old welder in Tabuk City gunned down by riding in tandem; suspects still at large

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 63-year-old welder was resting on Wednesday afternoon at his workplace in Barangay Casigayan when two men stopped in front of him and shot him in the face.


The victim was identified by the police as Andress Ocao Bolingon, a native of Dalupa, Pasil, but had been residing in Dagupan West, Tabuk City.


Police investigators learned that that around 4:30 p.m. on September 25, Bolingon was taking a short break from work and was sitting in front of the welding shop when the shooting happened. At that time, two men onboard a motorcycle suddenly made a stop right in front of him.


The passenger allegedly immediately pulled a Cal. 45 and shot him particularly in the mouth.


A picture released by a niece of the victim showed two men riding a motorcycle with no plate number. The driver was wearing a green shirt and a blue jogging pants with white side stripe. The shooter was wearing a pink shirt, a faded baseball cap and blue shorts. Both were wearing slippers. The two suspects escaped and drove towards Quezon Street in Dagupan Centro.


The Tabuk City police is now appealing to anyone who knew the suspects to contact their hotline at 09089000900 and help authorities in identifying the suspects which could lead to their immediate arrest.
