Isabela, Philippines – A 64-year-old woman will be facing an attempted homicide case after allegedly stabbing her son’s live-in partner.

The accused, identified by the police as a certain Delia Dela Cruz, was said to have stabbed the victim, Divina Bigonia, 43, during the early hours of February 17 in Barangay Mabini, Santiago City.

Police investigation, as cited by XFM Santiago, revealed that the victim had an argument with her live-in partner, the suspect’s son, around 12:33 a.m. on Saturday.

The incident escalated when the suspect allegedly intervened and joined the altercation.

The victim attempted to leave the house to prevent further escalation of the conflict, but the suspect, who managed to grab a knife, followed her and stabbed her in both thighs.
