Pasil, Kalinga – An elderly in Kalinga was injured after he was trapped in a landslide triggered by typhoon Kristine on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

Said Typhoon brought incessant rains and strong winds in Kalinga since October 22, raising the province to Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 from October 23 to 24.

At the height of the typhoon, Kalinga recorded one injury.

PNP Kalinga Spokesperson, PCapt. Ruff Manganip told GURU Press that the case involved a 68-year-old man in Malucsad, Pasil. The senior citizen, around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, went to their comfort room when the typhoon triggered a landslide in their area, burying half of the man’s body.
