Ninety new beneficiaries, augmenting the workforce, were also added, where each beneficiary received P4,300.00 as their salary for their 10-day community work in their own barangays.

The total amount allotted for the wages of the 600 individuals by the Department of Labor and Employment is P2, 158,600.00, and P500,000.00 for the 90.

The 600 beneficiaries came from Lower Bangad, Bangad Centro, Basao, Buscalan, and Bugnay. Previous beneficiaries of the program were residents of Barangay Dananao, Belong Man-ubal, and Old Tinglayan.

On August 7, the new recipients, particularly 90 residents, from Upper Bangad attended an orientation, signaling the start of their work as temporary workers through the TUPAD program.

The local government, to recall, has committed to lobbying for more funds from various government agencies and officials for all barangays of Tinglayan to avail of the program.

This is to help displaced workers in the municipality while also fostering skill development, productivity, and livelihood opportunities.

In a statement during the pay-out, Mayor Sacrament Gumilab expressed his gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment for the continued support of the municipality.

Gumilab underscored that TUPAD program is a big help to Tinglayan residents and aids in the continued development of the municipality.

For Tinglayanos, the mayor vowed anew that the local government will carry on its efforts to boost livelihood and employment in the area in line with the municipality’s rallying cry, "Tongrayan Umunno-unnoy”.
