8 injured after vehicle fell into ravine in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Eight individuals from San Francisco, Rizal were reportedly injured after their vehicle fell into a ravine in Barangay Nambaran this August 3, 2022.


This is one of the several accidents in the city involving vehicles falling off the road.


Kalinga PDRRM reported that the eight were on board a pickup while traversing the national road from Nambaran, going home to Rizal.


When they were in Sitio Ileb, a rock suddenly fell on the road, causing the driver to panic. This resulted in the latter losing control of the vehicle until it plunged into the ravine at the side of the road.

The eight were said to have sustained serious injuries.


Four of these injured individuals are barangay personnel of San Francisco with two senior citizens, a toddler, and the driver of the vehicle.


The Kalinga Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office named the victims as Jayvee David Mangada, the driver; Santos Macasaddog, a senior citizen; Analiza Baldo, a Barangay Health Worker; Teresita Casibang, Lupong Tagapamayapa; Mayla Tagacay , Barangay Nutrition Scholar; Monaliza Ramilyosa, BHW; Pablito Diado, a senior citizen; and Cymon Baldo, a one-year-old toddler.


Teams from the PNP, BFP, AFP, Kalinga PDRRMO, and Rizal MDRRMO rushed the victims to Kalinga Provincial Hospital and Juan M Duyan Memorial District Hospital.
