82-year-old businessman in Tuguegarao dies of electrocution inside shop

Tuguegarao City, Philippines – An 82-year-old businessman was found dead inside his shop in Avocado Street, Tanza, Tuguegarao City evening of Monday, October 10, 2022.

Philippine National Police-Tuguegarao said one of the elderly’s neighbor found the lifeless victim lying on the floor of the furniture shop at around 7:00 in the evening of the same date.

After discovering his body, the neighbor sought helped from her husband to check the victim and later reported the incident to the authorities.

The victim was immediately brought to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Based on the investigation conducted, police concluded that electrocution was the cause of death wherein an open wire was found in an electric plainer machine tool that is usually used by the victim in his business.
