9 young men battle to become Mr. Balbalan this July 18

Balbalan, Kalinga – It’s a battle of looks and brains for gentlemen, this time in Balbalan, as the town is set to hold its Search for ‘Mr. Balbalan’ on Thursday, July 18.

The pageant is one of the highlights of the municipal-wide celebration of the Linggo ng Kabataan in said town this year.

The 9 young men shall represent their respective barangay in the contest to be held at KDCM Sports Center.

 They are Ashley Jade Camaddo of Balantoy; Julwashter Jacinto, Buaya; Raymundo Mondala III, Poblacion; Genesis Gamay, Talalang; Isaac Beyag, Mabaca; Sean Preston Putao, Gawaan; Keith Arleigh Anniban, Poswoy; Thomas Andy Bongabong, Balbalan Proper; and Lance Florande, Pantikian.

The nine were sashed on July 10 at the Balbalan Hostel in a ceremony spearheaded by the Local Youth Development Office and was personally graced by Mayor Almar Malannag and Vice Mayor Rowina Alison Damian.

Mayor Malannag is inviting all yBalbalans and visitors to come and witness the coronation of Mr. Balbalan 2024 on Thursday at 1:00 p.m.

The Mayor is likewise encouraging all youth in the municipality to take part and show their skills and talents in various activities lined up for the ongoing celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan which began on July 15 and will culminate on Friday, July 19.

Among the activities include ball games, cha-ta-boo competition, Tiktok dance craze, and battle of the band.
