San Juan, Abra - Another shooting incident transpired in Abra on March 17, this time in the town of San Juan, which resulted in the injuries of three individuals.

The victims, based on the police report obtained by a local media, were having a drinking session inside a house when they were shot by yet-to-be-known suspect/s. The victims were identified as Geraldo Turqueza, 53; Juanito Manuel, 58; and Renante Turqueza, 43.

The San Juan Municipal Police Station initially disclosed that they were notified about the incident through a phone call from a concerned citizen at around 10:00 p.m. on said date.

The policemen, led by San Juan MPS Acting Chief Police Captain Gerald Bentadan, immediately proceeded to the crime scene, particularly in Sitio Guisaed, Barangay Cabcaburao, San Juan. There, they found the victims with gunshot wounds to various parts of their bodies.

The team rushed the wounded men to the Abra Provincial Hospital, where they are currently recuperating.

The victims, when questioned by the police about who might have committed the crime, said they did not see who shot them or how many were involved, as the events happened so quickly.

As of this writing, a hot pursuit operation is underway to identify those responsible for the attack.

It can be recalled that two separate shooting incidents occurred in the province on March 12, where a political candidate was killed and a former barangay captain injured.
