Isabela missing aircraft still being searched


Isabela, Philippines – There are still no traces for the missing aircraft in Isabela, as of Wednesday morning, January 25, 2023.

CESSNA plane bearing tail number RP-C1174 bound to Maconacon, Isabela departed at Cauayan Airport around 2:15 p.m. on January 24. It is supposed to land 45 minutes after its departure.


The plane was ferrying Capt. Eleazar Mark Joven and 5 passengers identified as Tom Josthle Manday, Val Kamatoy, Mark Eiron Siguerra, Xam Siguerra, and Josefa Perla Espana. It was last monitored in Naguilan, Isabela.

An aerial search was launched by the airline around 4:12 p.m. on the same date. However, aircraft RP-C 2002 returned around 4:54 p.m. due to inclement weather.


This morning, the members of the Incident Management Team, together with the Isabela Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, Atty. Constante Foronda convened to discuss the aerial search operation for the missing aircraft.
