Aguinaldo police station acquires brand new patrol car

Aguinaldo, Ifugao – The Municipal Police Station of Aguinaldo in Ifugao acquired on Wednesday, Dec. 02, a brand new patrol car from the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police.

The additional Personnel Carrier 4X4 (Toyota Hilux Pick-up) with accessories and amenities would provide an extra layer of security in the community, therefore deterring criminal activity at the same time strengthening law enforcement operations across the locality.

Chief of Police of Aguinaldo MPS, accompanied by Vice-Mayor Roberto Lim-ang received the car keys from Ifugao Police Provincial Office Director, Col. James Mangili, and IPPO's Provincial Advisory Group Chairman Pastor Jimmy Lachaona during the turnover ceremony held at Camp Joaqiun P. Dunuan, Poblacion North, Lagawe, Ifugao.

Also present at the event were the chiefs of Alfonso Lista MPS, Hingyon MPS, Hungduan MPS, Mayoyao MPS and Tinoc MPS, and 1st Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) who were likewise provided with a patrol vehicle.

Around P14.6 million was allotted for the purchase of the seven police cars that passed the functional and endurance test, ensuring that specifications provided by the agency were followed accordingly, says Ifugao PNP in its press release.

Said provision is part of PNP’s capability enhancement program which was being funded by the Congress with P2 billion every year for the improvement of the personal and logistical capabilities of the police to complement the execution and implementation of plans.

“We are happy to receive this new mobile patrol car to equip our Municipal Police Stations, as it will improve our response time. Please learn the mechanics and take good care of our vehicles. Coordinate also with our partner LGUs for the maintenance and sustainability of our vehicles,” Mangili said.
