Aguinaldo, Ifugao – Proving yet again that youth have the ability to bring social reform and improvement to society, children of Aguinaldo in Ifugao are on the move to help a family recover from a home fire.

Officers and members of the Youth Mobile Force – Ifugao (Aguinaldo Chapter) organized “Walk and Zumba for a Cause” as a means of raising money to benefit Rosita Abagan and her family.

The family lost valuables to a fire that broke out in Sitio Sagpat, Ubao, Aguinaldo on Jan. 13, 2023. Though they managed to save some of their possessions with the help of the community and the local fire department, lots of their things were burned. Fortunately, no one was harmed in the blaze.

Coming to the family’s rescue are the Aguinaldo youth through their simple yet meaningful fundraising program slated for February 04, 2023.

The “Walk for a Cause” will start at 5:00 a.m. from Posnaan-Ubao boundary to Ubao Public Market. Registration fees for students and non-working is P50 and P100 for those employed.

Other activities include a clean-up drive, Zumba, basketball, and volleyball.

Donations via Gcash may be sent through 0905-710-0490 - Christler Luib. For in-kind donations, contact the Facebook account of YMF Aguinaldo or Johnwill Bragas at 0912-411-7902.

Believing that “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,” the youth are encouraging their fellows including other members of the community to join the activity for higher proceeds that will all be given to Rosita Abagan.

“We are looking forward to your participation in this program with a cause. Thank you and God bless all of us,” invited the group.
