Anti-narcotic cops in Tabuk City seized P33.6M worth of illegal drugs in 2024

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Millions worth of illegal drugs have been seized by the anti-narcotic cops in Tabuk City in 2024, according to their data.

 

Illegal drugs remain to be among the major concerns in the Philippines, with operatives across the country seizing approximately P20.7 billion worth of contrabands from 46,821 anti-narcotics operations nationwide in 2024 alone.

 

The Philippine National Police revealed in December 2024 that the said drug haul was composed of shabu, marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, and ketamine.

 

For the City of Tabuk, the police conducted a total of 37 operations last year. These operations included police response, buybust, checkpoint, and serving of search warrant.

 

In said operations, the operatives in the city confiscated a total of P33,676,391 worth of illegal drugs. P32,095,989 were marijuana products while the rest were shabu.

 

The police likewise arrested 46 people from the operations last year.

 

As for the year 2025, the Tabuk City police is set to continue to strengthen their anti-illegal drugs campaign. Just this January 6, they arrested a 35-year-old man who was allegedly caught by his sister using shabu at their mother’s residence in Nambaran.
