Apayao’s Project “Butsy” allots P1.5M for free health and wellness services to employees

Apayao, Philippines – Apart from its free health and medical services to the residents of Apayao, Project Butsy, one of Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr.’s initiatives, shall start providing the same to the employees of the provincial government this August.


The medical services prioritize the wellness of Apayao employees and as a means to recognize their untiring efforts and dedication to public service.


Bulut believes a healthy and strong workforce is more productive and efficient at work, providing better government services to the people.


Governor Bulut, Jr. and Congresswoman Eleanor Bulut-Begtang continuously put healthcare services on top priorities by addressing medical needs and promoting healthier lifestyles among the PGA public servants.


Through the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the program workers partner with hospitals like Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center (FNLGHTC) in Luna, Flora District Hospital, Santa Marcela District Hospital, and Amma Jadsac District Hospital in Pudtol to cater to the needs of the employees.


The FREE medical services made available are Laboratory & Blood Tests, Chest Xray & 12-L- ECG, Medical Consultation, Oral Health Examination, Mental Wellness, Nutrition Assessment, and Noncommunicable Disease (NCD) Risk Assessment in the venues provided.


For the laboratory tests, employees may go to Santa Marcela District Hospital, Flora District Hospital, and Amma Jadsac District Hospital, for the X-ray and ECG at FNLGHTC, and consultation and assessment services at the Provincial Capitol.


Provincial Health Officer II Mark Joleen Calban conveyed the program targets 573 regular employees, aside from Job Order workers with a total allotted budget of P1.5M for this year.

Calban said the program initially prospects regular employees but will also serve the Job Order workers if fund is still sufficient.
