Apayao under critical risk, logs 242 cases today

In a data released by DOH-CHD-CAR on August 21, 2021, it showed that Apayao’s Mechanical Ventilator Utilization Rate (MVUR) is 100%, meaning no MVUR is available in the province, putting it under critical risk.

It was revealed in the data that of the 68 bed-capacity for Covid-19 patients, only 3 are left available. Conner District Hospital is in full capacity, while Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center has but 3 remaining.

As to the cases, DOH-CAR reported that Apayao logged 242 cases today, topping the list of the highest number of cases among provinces in the region. The 210 cases, however, are still being verified and the numbers may change following the release of verification results.

Baguio has 43 cases (43 for verification); Benguet, 31 (31 for verification); Ifugao, 36 (35 for verification, 1 death); Kalinga, 28; and Mt. Province, 18.
