Luna, Apayao- The Province of Apayao, on Monday, Sept.1, has commenced its month-long celebration of the 124th Civil Service Anniversary with a much-anticipated series of events and competitions, centered on fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles, work ethics, and dynamism for public service among civil servants.
This is one of the biggest events for government workers in Apayao as huge prizes are usually given away and winning competitions are of major importance.
During the kickoff ceremony, a motorcade was done and was joined by different government agencies in the morning, followed by fun and cheerful games, a Zumba fitness party, a speech by Provincial Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr., and video message from former Senator Emmanuel Pacquiao, spectacular dance presentations of 2023 Zumba champions, a search for Mr. and Ms. CSC sports ambassadors 2024, and the formal declaration of the opening of sports competitions in the afternoon.
Said government agencies joining for the festivities are clustered accordingly:
Pink Cluster 1-DPWH, RTC, PAO, MCTC, Parole and Probation, CSC and LRA;
Red Cluster 2-DENR,BFP,DAR,NCIP,DA-ROS,FNLGHTC, NFA, PCSO, TESDA,PDOHO;
Lemon/Yellow Cluster 3-LGU-Luna, NIA, PHIC, DSWD-SWAD, PHIL-POST, BFAR, BJMP;
White Cluster 4-PNP,ASC,DILG,CDA,LTO,PSA, DOST,DICT;
Green Cluster 5-DEPED,COMELEC,COA,DOLE,DTI,LBP,
Blue Cluster 6-Team Capitol and Congress; and,
Camouflage Special Cluster-Philipine Army.
As customary, the Provincial government spearheaded the various activities lined up, with some prices slated for winners of contested events.
This year’s observance of the PCSA carries a decade-long theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes.”
It is geared at the continuous refinement of public services that are aligned with the commission’s standards and mandates, whether it be in the government sectors or in private firms, reinforced with the breakthrough of innovation and digital literacy, in which he CSC will certainly help civil servants exemplify quality and genuine excellence in public service.
There will be more activities and competitions to anticipate as the celebration is packed with lots of fun activities. These include ball games, musical and dance performances, tree planting on September 18, and other indoor sports.
As announced, the PCSA month-long celebration will culminate on the last day of September.
It is hoped that the annual celebration is not only meant to honor extraordinary workers for their dedication and contribution to civil service, but more so it serves as an avenue among employees to achieve a unified approach and sustainable management in public service.
