Around 1,400 yTanudans participated in historic ‘Awong Chi Gangsa, Agtu’n Chi Banga’

Tanudan, Kalinga – Wearing their blue shirt and Kalinga traditional attire, around 1,400 yTanudans danced and played their gongs during the historic ‘Awong Chi Gangsa, Agtu’n Chi Banga’ that earned Kalinga two Guinness World Record.


Kalinga was conferred the ‘Largest Gong Ensemble’ and ‘Largest Banga Dance’ after 3,440 gong players and 4,681 banga dancers performed for the said event on February 15.

These dancers and gong players from Tanudan who braved the rain were led by Vice Mayor Constancio Dalayap, Councilor Santos Dumalleg, Councilor Helen Gacadan, Councilor Rizalin Laurentino, ABC President Johnny Liddawa, and the different barangay officials.


With this cooperation and unity displayed by his constituents, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag couldn’t be more thankful to his people. He acknowledges each and everyone’s sacrifice just to take part in the historic event.

“Sala-salamat ti cooperation ken sakripisyo yu kakailyan nga taga Tanudan. Gapu ti kina adu yu nga nag-participate ket naala ti ili tayo nga Kalinga ti World Guinness Record, dakayu ti maysa nga gapu na nga nagun-ud tayo daytoy nga award,” he conveyed.


Dagadag encourages every yTanudan to continuously participate to the programs of the government.


“Saludo nak kanya yu amin kakailyan nga yTanudan ti saksakripisyo yu panggep ditoy nga event. Ti Municipal Local Government Unit iti Tanudan ket sisusuporta kanya yu amin ken amin nga pakisaliyan tayo manen. Sala-salamat ken matagotago taku losan,” he expressed.
