Baguio athlete bags 2 gold medals in international natural bodybuilding competition


Baguio City, Philippines – A young athlete from the Summer Capital of the country clinched two gold medals and a bronze medal in the recently concluded World Natural Bodybuilding Federation – Philippines.


The event held in Tayabas City, Quezon province on September 17 is an international bodybuilding competition that highlights fitness, wellness, and its advocacy for drug-free sports.


Participants in the tilt were fitness enthusiasts from all over the country and around the world.

Leejan Raphael G. Nacnac is the champion of the Men's Physique Juniors – Medium category and the Men's Bodybuilding Juniors category. He was born and raised in Baguio, according to the City Information Office.


Nacnac likewise snatched the bronze medal for placing fourth in the Men's Physique Open – Medium category.


His success comes with the hope to promote natural bodybuilding in the locality.


The young athlete who completed his formative education at Special Education (SPED) Center and the Philippine Science High School – Cordillera Campus expressed the struggles he experienced before winning the competition.

“Every single athlete shed blood, sweat, and tears prior to stepping on stage. I could say that I did the same, having multiple setbacks during my 4-month prep, I'm confident to say that I gave these wins my all,” he conveyed.


Nacnac took to social media to extend gratitude to his coach and family who have been his source of inspiration.
