Alarming incident of bus attack in Cauayan: windows shattered by rock

Isabela, Philippines - Concerns on safety and security of travelers who rely on public transportation have been raised anew following a startling incident along the stretch of Barangay Minante Dos, Cauayan City.

According to the Dalin Bus Line driver, Charly Bernard, they were traversing the road along said village when a loud bang alarmed him and the passengers.

Upon inspection, they discovered a shattered window which might have hit by a rock presumably thrown by a bystander in the area.

Fortunately, the passenger sitting near the window was not hurt.

The driver and conductor immediately proceeded to the barangay hall to report the incident before proceeding to file a formal complaint to the nearest police station.

Some netizens shared similar experiences while traversing the same area.

“Na-experience ko din yan nakasakay ako ng bus way to manila diyan na naman sa Cauayan binato yung bus na sinakyan namin. Akala namin may sumabog sa lakas ng pagkabato buti hindi nabasag bintana,” a netizen commented.
