Baguio City artist bagged 1 gold, 2 silver in World Championship of Performing Arts

Baguio City, Philippines – After competing with thousands of other performing artists in the world, a Baguio City vocalist took home 3 medals and the ‘division of the world champion’ title in the 27th World Championship of Performing Arts(WCOPA).

WCOPA, which is often cited as the official “Talent Olympics” for aspiring performers and entertainers, annually gathers more than 2000 artists from over 70 countries for a showdown of talents.

For this year, the WCOPA was held at the Westin Long Beach California on June 28-July 6.

Going head-to-head with equally talented artists, Aiken Ramos managed to snatch a gold medal in the Vocal Rap with Accompaniment; silver for Acting for Television; another silver for Original Song works; Semi-Finalist of WCOPA 2024; and the ‘Division Champion of the World’ for the Vocal Rap with Accompaniment category.

In a Facebook post, Ramos acknowledged the forces behind his success at the WCOPA, attributing the feat to their generosity, prayers, selflessness, wisdom, and belief in his capabilities.

“I couldn’t thank you guys enough for making this experience possible. This dream is cultivated by your love, support, and collective efforts and it finally led to sweet victories for our country.

This one is for you mga kababayan, para sayo ito Pilipinas,” he wrote.
