Baguio City closes various roads for 2022 Panagbenga Activities

Baguio, Philippines – In observance of the 2022 Panagbenga Festival, various roads in Baguio City will be temporarily closed from March 20 to March 27, 2022.


According to the Public Information Office-City of Baguio, the temporary closure of various roads was approved by the city officials through Ordinance No. 19, series of 2022.


The roads which will be temporarily closed include Session Road from SM rotunda to Mercury Drug Store and its adjoining roads and streets such as Gov. Pack Road, Assumption | Road, Fr. Carlo Loop, Calderon Street, and Perfecto Street.

PIO Baguio City also mentioned that these roads will be temporarily unpassable on the said dates, as they will serve as venues for programs and activities during the celebration of the Panagbenga Festival. Additionally, the roads will serve as emergency entrances and exits of garbage collection trucks and delivery trucks, and vans of pavilion owners.


Mabini Street will remain open for vehicular traffic to serve as an alternate road for motorists to patronize the displays by the exhibitors in the Session Road in Bloom.

Meantime, according to the Panagbenga Organizing Committee, around 200 stalls will be allowed to operate during the week-long celebration at the Session Road.


Among the activities that were organized for this 2022 Baguio Flower Festival are the opening of Panagbenga landscaping competition or Gardens capes, landscaping exhibition, Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya Baguio, Let A Thousand Flowers Bloom, kite flying contest, fitness activities, band performances, Panagbenga Dance Competition, Session Road in Bloom, Panagbenga flower Tee Golf tournament and the closing fireworks display.
