Baguio City library provides free Math and Reading lessons to students


Baguio City, Philippines – Apart from learning Mathematics and Reading at school, young learners in the city can further enhance their computation and reading skills at the Baguio City Public Library.


This is through the library’s initiative to provide tutorials for Mathematics and English Reading.

The public library gives free and regular Mathematics tutorial sessions to grade-schoolers and high schools. The program is noted to be drawing more students as they had a full house last Oct. 07, according to City Librarian Easter Pablo.


For Oct. 14 Math learning session, the city library announced that grade 5 students will be accommodated at 8:00 – 8:55 a.m.; grade 6, at 9:00 – 9:55 a.m.; grade 7, 10:00 – 10:55 a.m.; and grade 8, 11:00 – 11:55 a.m.


On said day, it will also be the start of the free English Reading lessons for grades 3 – 6 at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This additional learning program at the library aims to improve the reading skills of the learners on said grades.


No registration is required both for the Mathematics and Reading tutorials. Interested students will only have to proceed to the Baguio City Public Library every Saturday for their sessions.
