Baguio City Road Accident: 38-yr-old man dies after his motorcycle hit parked truck

Baguio City, Philippines – A man in his 30s was killed in a tragic road accident that transpired over the weekend along the road in Kilometer 5, Asin Road, Baguio City.

 

Initial reports from the Baguio City Police Office Police Station 9 obtained by a local media outlet disclosed that the man was on board his motorcycle when the accident happened in the early hours of Sunday, March 30. 

 

The victim was identified by the police as Dario Tiblac, a 38-year-old native of Atok, Benguet, a resident of Km. 5 Asin Road, Baguio City. 

 

It was said that while Tiblac was traversing the road from Central Business District, his vehicle suddenly hit the rear bumper of an Elf water delivery truck that was parked on the roadside at approximately 1:10 a.m. 

 

Notified of the incident, emergency responders from the Baguio City Emergency and Medical Services (BCEMS), led by Elvis Calderon, rushed Tiblac to a hospital nearby. Unfortunately, he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. 

 

At present, the authorities are conducting further investigations to determine what caused the motorcycle rider to hit the parked truck.
