Baguio City warehouse fire inflicts over P4.2M worth of damage

Baguio City, Philippines - A warehouse in Avelino Street, Barangay Andres Bonifacio, Baguio City was razed by fire in the early morning of Saturday, August 3.

Initial report from the Bureau of Fire Protection – Baguio disclosed that faulty wiring might be the possible cause of the blaze.

This conclusion came after the captain of said barangay reported to them that they heard something that exploded inside the warehouse at around 3:15 a.m. before the fire broke out.

Members of the fire bureau responded to the incident after being notified. Since the doors of the warehouse were locked, the firefighters struggled to enter causing them to take almost an hour to put out the fire.

The firemen declared fire out at 7:05 am.

The cost of damage reached P4.2 million based on initial investigation.

Following this incident, the public is reminded anew by BFP Baguio to follow fire prevention measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
