Baguio Cop killed in tragic road accident

Baguio City, Philippines - A police officer died in a road crash that transpired afternoon of Sunday, June 9, at Purok 3, Asin Road, Baguio City.

The victim was heading to the city center when he met the tragic accident.

Based on investigation, the police officer lost control of his motorcycle while traversing the said area and crashed against a riprap on the roadside.

He sustained various injuries from the crash. While he was promptly ferried to a medical facility in the city, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

The police officer was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Randy Fikingas Bang-og, 36, married and a resident of Rimando Road, Baguio City.

He was assigned to the Traffic Management Unit of the Baguio City Police Office.

The Baguio City Police Office, in a statement, extended their condolences to their comrade’s grieving family and mentioned providing some support.

“BAGUIO’s FINEST stands united in honoring the memory and legacy of PSSg Bang-og. His spirit of bravery and dedication will continue to inspire us as we carry on his mission of serving and protecting our community,” they wrote.
