Balbalan gets 3 additional service vehicles

Balbalan, Kalinga – The local government unit of Balbalan led by Mayor Almar Malannag recently acquired three additional service vehicles costing P5,097,000 to be utilized for swift transactions to the public.

Newly acquired vehicles include one unit of utility vehicle (Mitsubishi L300) amounting to 1,498,000, and two units of Nissan Terra worth P3,599,000, the Municipal Information Office reported Monday, April 03, 2023.

To recall, Balbalan LGU first received P10.9 million worth of heavy equipment – one backhoe costing P7,993,000 and two units of dump trucks amounting to P2,999,500. As earlier stated, the heavy equipment will be used for various construction projects, including road maintenance, rehabilitation, and implementation of infrastructures that will bolster Malannag administration’s agenda on infrastructure progress.

The purchase of the backhoe and dump trucks was initiated by the previous administration but was pursued by the incumbent local officials.

The vehicles may now be utilized for intended purposes following the blessing by Rev. Fr. Alejandro Abangley of the Balbalan Catholic Mission this Monday.
