Balbalan local products showcased in La Trinidad trade fair

Balbalan, Kalinga – A wide array of locally-made products of Balbalan, Kalinga were showcased in the “Product Fair” at the La Trinidad’s municipal gymnasium in Benguet.


Held from June 13 to 17, 2023, the trade fair was part of the town’s grand 73rd founding anniversary celebration.


As the town’s sister municipalities, Balbalan and Tabuk City in Kalinga along with Bontoc, Bauko and Sagada in Mt. Province, Kapangan in Benguet and Bongabong in Oriental Mindoro were all invited for the five-day event.

Tourism Operations Clerk of Balbalan, Aubrey Fhe D. Sagban, in a statement, underscored the exhibition was a great venue for promoting their homegrown products and, as well as tourism and entrepreneurship.


Among the indigenous products the team displayed include woven fabric products, baskets, native coffee, wine, soft brooms, mats, hats, tour packages, and souvenirs, among others.


With many tourists, visitors, and locals captivated by the range of merchandise, Balbalan was able to generate a total sale of P61,170.


Balbalan Tourism extended gratitude to the LGU family under the administration of Mayor Almar Malannag and Vice-Mayor Rowina Alison Damian who showed support by attending the event in person, along with Clarence Tongdo – Sangguniang Bayan Committee Chairperson on Tourism.
