Balbalan Mayor Malannag conferred ‘Outstanding & Significant Achievement in Public Service Leadership’ award

Balbalan, Kalinga – Leading Balbalan with hard work, commitment, and dignity since 2022 has earned Mayor Almar Malannag an ‘outstanding’ citation for public service.

On Saturday, September 14, Malannag received the ‘Outstanding & Significant Achievement in Public Service Leadership’ award from the Philippine Public Service Leadership Awards in a ceremony held at the Richmonde Hotel in Pasig City.

The Philippine Public Service Leadership Awards is conferred to individuals with exemplary contributions to public service. It aims to highlight and recognize their dedication and accomplishments in service.

The mayor got the said citation for embracing ‘his responsibilities with a determined and steadfast commitment to the welfare of the community’ and for leading Balbalan into the transition ‘from the struggles of the pandemic to the challenges of the new normal’.

It was also written in the program souvenir that while Mayor Malannag is only in his first term as a mayor, he prioritized programs on the promotion of youth development, health, education, and peace and order.

The Office of Mayor Malannag conveyed they are honored and grateful for the recognition conferred to the Balbalan Mayor and for acknowledging his efforts in his first term as the local chief executive of Balbalan.
