On August 23, the Bangko Montañosa Incorporated(BMI) brought out its employees from its five branches in Tabuk, Cagayan, Apayao, and Mountain Province to have a breath of fresh air along with their loved ones in Callagdao, Bulanao.

The gathering dubbed as the first-ever BMI Family Day had the employees unleashed their inner child by competing in games like breaking the pot, sack race, ‘kadang kadang’, ‘Hula’ game, and Bingo.

They did not just simply had fun but they also internalized the BMI’s core values in the ‘Hunt and Move Game’ where they had to accomplish missions related to the said values.

The kids who had their face painted also played parlor games and had unlocked a new experience from having banana trunks as their plates and not the typical disposable ones.

BMI Human Resource Officer Binazir Lumas-i relayed that the bank initiated the activity to strengthen employee relationships, to enhance a work-life balance, and to build a company culture. She added that the event also aimed at boosting the workers’ morale.

Lumas-i relayed that the BMI Board of Directors and management believed in living up to the bank’s vision and mission which includes facilitating premium growth of its personnel and the community.

The Human Resource Officer further shared that the employees, based on their feedback, credited the activity for the new memories created with their colleagues and their families.

“It is safe to say and assume, with the feedback and comments received, that the impact of the activity was that we are able to build memories that strengthens our bonds, not just within the workplace but also with our family members,” she said.

After the success of the first BMI Family Day, the bank eyes on adopting the event as their annual activity.
