Barangay Balinciagao Sur tops Real property tax collection performance in Pasil, Kalinga

Pasil, Kalinga – Balinciagao Sur topped the real tax property collection last year outperforming 13 other barangays with a performance rating of 97.45 percent as assessed by the Municipal Treasury Office of Pasil.

Said barangay, along with 2 other barangays of the municipality, was conferred with certificates by DILG-Pasil for their tax collection performance during the 56th Foundation Day of Pasil.

Balinciagao Sur was able to get more than 97% of its target for real property taxes.

Cagaluan was hailed the 2nd top performing barangay for their tax collection performance with a rating of 44.o8 percent.

Dangtalan came third with a performance rating of 41.82 percent.

According to MLGOO Helen Lacuesta, the real property tax target in a given year is imposed by the Bureau of Local Government Finance and the Real Property tax data emanates from all municipal LGUs submitted every end of each year.

In computing the target, the current basic tax composed of 80% of the basic tax collectibles in each year is added to the 35% of the total tax collection.

These targets are distributed to the barangays using the same computation used by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF).
