Esteras said in an interview that the distribution of cash incentives is a yearly program by the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) to extend help to the needy, adding that even with a little budget they want to do something to at least lessen some burden of those in need in his barangay.

“Dati nga in allocate mi nga para kanyada, nakasali diay pondo mi. Kurang latta ta ummadu sunga with my own money, ninayunak ta at least marikna da ah nga adda. Karkaru ta maayatan ta nga mangkita kanyada ken mabang aran ta nga mangkita ti isem da,” he said.

Additionally, he said the provision of the cash aid is allocated through an executive order which was strengthened under his administration since 2018.

Esteras together with the barangay officials personally handed the aid amounting to PhP500 each to over 30 identified beneficiaries.

Moreover, the distributed aid is under the 2020 fund as the supposed distribution date which is every December was delayed due to the CoViD-19 pandemic.

Meantime, Esteras calls on to the families of PWDs and sickly who have not yet availed of the said assistance to reach them out for immediate validation. He assured his constituents that he shall further work harder to expand this kind of program.

The BLGU also gives financial assistance to their senior citizens, Alternative Learning System (ALS) teachers and Daycare teachers intended to be utilized for their teaching needs.
