Barangay Dagupan Centro, Tabuk City wins Regional Lupong Tagapamayapa 2022

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Among a thousand of barangays in the Cordillera, Barangay Dagupan Centro in Tabuk has once again won the Search for Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards for this year in the region.

The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards is being given to barangays that demonstrate exemplary performance in settling disputes at their level.

This is the second time Dagupan Centro will be receiving the recognition after winning the same award in 2021.

In an interview with Punong Barangay George Esteras, he said that they always ensure the immediate settlement of any issue that is brought to their concern, which is why the majority of conflicts under their jurisdiction do not last long.

Likewise, Esteras shared that as the Lupon Chairperson, he always makes sure that both sides arrive at a consensus willingly.

“Ta awan met serbi na nga i-mediate mo nu nasakit met iti nakem dagiay respondent ken diay complainant,” he said.

Esteras stressed that every problem has its solution and remedy.

“Ditoy awan rumwar nga nakamisuot, ken makararagan da. Amin nga nahear-hearing mi ditoy, man-manu pay iti nakamisuot nga rumwar nga complainant ken respondent, kanayun da nga agkukuyog nakaisem da,” he narrated.

Dagupan Centro will be receiving the recognition and a P50,000 incentive on October 25, 2022, in Baguio City.
