Barangay officials of Flora, Apayao train for effective, efficient leadership

Flora, Apayao – ‘Even leaders need training.’ This is what Mayor Rodolfo B. Juan said in an interview during the leadership training of barangay officials from March 19-20 at the Elias K. Bulut Clubhouse in Bagutong, Flora.

To prepare them for their responsibilities as village leaders, new officials from all barangays of Flora underwent the training program called the Basic Orientation of Enhanced Barangay Newly Elected Officials (E-BNEO).

Among the participants are the barangay captains, barangay councilors and Sangguniang Kabataan chairpersons.

The said training is designed to capacitate the village officials in all aspects of leadership, fundamentals of barangay governance, barangay development planning, budget and finance, participation, and public ethics and accountability.

Mayor Rodolfo B. Juan's administration envisions enhanced service delivery and an improved quality of life for Floranians through this initiative.

Distinguished speakers included representatives from provincial government offices, the Provincial Health Office, national line agencies, local government officials, PAG-IBIG, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The event was graced by the presence of DILG Provincial Director Engr. Mayer Max G. Adong, Vice Mayor Jeofrey T. Blas, MLGOO Roderick Begtang, PPDC's Engr. Henry Caluducan, SB Members Hon. Genevieve Cacacho and Hon. Rodolfo T. Juan Jr., along with Mr. Donato Balag.
