Tabuk City, Kalinga - As the three-day “Bayanihan Bakunahan” kicks off this November 29, Governor, Engr. Ferdinand Tubban encouraged the public to practice the spirit of ‘bayanihan’ and participate in the vaccination to protect themselves and their family against COVID-19.

Through the “Bayanihan Bakunahan: Ligtas. Lakas. Buong Pinas” program, November 29 to December 1 was declared as National COVID-19 Vaccination Days to increase vaccine coverage and mobilize stakeholders from sectors nationwide.

According to the Department of Health, this is also in support of the national government’s goal of giving Filipinos a safe and healthy Christmas.

In Kalinga, four vaccines, particularly CoronaVac, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Pfizer, are available for inoculation, through the initiative of Governor Tubban.

Aside from adults, pediatric vaccination for youth under the 12 to 17 age bracket is also open at the various sites established by the different municipalities and the city.

“Alaen tayu kuma daytuy a gundaway nga agpabakuna ken ipabakuna dagiti kapamilya tayu nga agtawen 12 to 17 ken dagiti ag tawen 18 agpangato tapnu manaynayunan pay ti proteksyon tayu kontra ti COVID-19. Agyamak ken sapay kuma ta agnanayun tayu a nasalun-at ken adayu ti peggad,” said the governor in his message posted by the province’s Information Services Office.

The office reported that as of today, 40 percent or 62,606 individuals of the 70 percent target population are already fully vaccinated.

The vaccination is expected to ramp up with the massive campaign, which will end on December 1, 2021.
