Birth, marriage, other civil registry documents now available in Kalinga

Tabuk City, Kalinga – yKalingas no longer need to travel to Tuguegarao and Baguio to avail marriage, birth and other certificates which can only be issued through Civil Registry System (CRS) outlets as the local Philippine Statistics Authority already has its own outlet in the province.

Second to be established in the region, the CRS outlet is located at Balinag Street, Purok 4, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

The launching of said outlet, according to the agency is a public-private partnership with Unisys, a private company which will help PSA-Kalinga deliver digital government services to modernize the Civil Registry System and take charge of the end-to-end process in originating, authentication, securing and issuance of civil registry document to the public.

With its launching, yKalingas and residents of neighboring provinces can now visit the office to request certified copy issuance of civil registry documents during office hours from Mondays to Fridays.

The office assures the public can get these said documents within a day.

Immediately after the ceremonial launching, Peter Balocnit of PIA Kalinga relayed the outlet began serving their clients with an 88-year-old man being one of their first customers.

This is in the person of Benito Tagupa of Cabaruan, Tabuk City.

In a Facebook post, PSA-Kalinga shared the applied fees for each document needed.

For copy of issuance of birth, marriage, and death certificates, the fee is P155, authentication - P155, certificate of marriage and non-marriage or Advisory on Marriages - P210, Certificate of no death/Advisory on Deaths - P210.00, annotated birth, marriage, and death certificates - P155, viewable online – 130 and document printing - P80.00.
