Bodong Agro Fair 2025: Buy Kalinga local products, fresh crops, handicrafts, and more

Tabuk City, Kalinga—The Kalinga Agro Fair, which is part of the celebration of the province’s 30th Founding Anniversary and 6th Bodong Festival, has officially opened on Monday, February  10, 2025, at the Capitol Compound in Bulanao, Tabuk City.


The Agro Fair, which showcases the diverse agricultural crops and produce in the province, aims to to help iKalinga farmers generate more income.


The opening of the fair was marked with a formal program attended by the provincial government officials, headed by Governor James Edduba, DTI Kalinga Provincial Director Renie Ramos, and Center Director of the Agricultural Training Institute CAR Charlie Sagudan, who served as the keynote speaker, among others. 


Various agricultural crops and produce from the seven municipalities of Kalinga and Tabuk City are now on display at their respective booths.


These include vegetables, fruits, handicrafts, seedlings, coffee, 'unoy rice,' ube jam, chili paste, woven products, clay jars, soft brooms, vinegar, wines, and more.


It can be recalled that the municipality of Balbalan, under the leadership of Mayor Almar Malannag, emerged as the front-runner in sales during the 2024 Bodong Agro-Fair, generating P136,784.


Said town showcased the economic gains of their agricultural sector to secure the award for the highest sales.
