Bodong Festival takes part in first Cordillera Festival of Festivals in Baguio City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – With the launching of the first Cordillera Festival of Festivals show in Baguio City, the Provincial Tourism Office announced Sunday, October 2 the participation of the province in bringing and showcasing its Bodong Festival in the summer capital.


The event is spearheaded by the Department of Tourism-Cordillera. It will take place at Malcolm Square, Baguio City on October 15, 2022.


Bodong festival is an annual event in Kalinga promoting the unique culture, practices, songs, dances, and indigenous products of the said province.


Bodong literally means peace pact when translated from the local dialect. It is a peace-making system of the yKalingas.


With the Bodong Festival being featured in said event, the Kalinga Provincial tourism Office invites the public to witness the activities there.


“On October 15, 2022, in the "Cordillera Festival of Festivals Show", Kalinga will be bringing the Bodong Festival to Baguio City! Witness how it will unfold before our very eyes after three long years of absence!” the Provincial Tourism Office stated.

Other festivals in the Cordillera will also be staged such as the Lang-ay Festival of Mt. Province, Say-am Festival of Apayao, Laga Festival of Abra, Adivay Festival of Benguet, among others.


Participants will first parade along Session Road at 8 AM before heading to Malcolm Square for the program proper.
