Bodong Festival Treasures Fair 2025: 156 Kalinga MSMEs generate over P22M in sales

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Various Kalinga local products were displayed and sold to the public anew by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the province during the 6th Bodong Festival Treasure Fair, which recorded a notable P22,893,171 in total sales.

 

The treasures fair was initiated by the Provincial Government Unit of Kalinga headed by Governor James Edduba, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Trade and Industry.

 

From February 3 to 23, 2025, the fair served as the venue for the iKalinga local producers and artisans to showcase their products and creative works while promoting the province. 

                                  

Based on the data from the DTI - Kalinga obtained by the Guru Press Cordillera, a total of 156 Kalinga MSMEs participated in the event. These are composed of 115 registered existing businesses and 41 DTI’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) clients.

 

Items showcased and sold by these local enterprises included processed foods, furniture and furnishings, decorative plants, gifts and home decorations, traditional Kalinga clothing, and fashion accessories, among others.

 

It can be recalled that Kalinga Treasure’s Fair in 2024 achieved an impressive sales of P21.3 million, marking a 24% increase from the P17,161,609 recorded in 2023. The sales this year rose to P22,893,171 or 7 percent increase.

 

“The overwhelming success of the Kalinga Treasures Fair demonstrates the growing market demand for locally made products and services,” said DTI.
