Body found floating in Halag Riverside, Aguinaldo remains unidentified

Aguinaldo, Ifugao – The man found floating in Halag Riverside in Aguinaldo, Ifugao on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, remains unidentified.

Aguinaldo police led by Police Master Sergeant Richard Pinkihan said they received a call about 4:45 in the afternoon on said day from a local fisherman named Jay-ar Gabanes Valdez, 25, informing them that he found a floating body of a male person along the river.

When the police personnel, along with those from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Bureau of Fire Protection, responded, they saw the man whose body was already bloated.

The victim was wearing a sky blue long-sleeve shirt, with a poster printed with “Re-elect BYRON SEVILLENA for Councilor,” and black jeans, with a wooden scabbard tied around his waist.

He was around 45 to 50 years old, 5 feet 4-6 inches tall, and of medium build.

The man was brought to Agustin Funeral Homes in Ramon, Isabela for funeral care and services.

Coordination was made with other police units for the proper identification of the victim, while investigation is underway.
