Brgy. Appas, Tabuk City to hold assembly to update residents of accomplishments, comprehensive financial report

Tabuk City, Kalinga - The Barangay Local Government Unit of Appas in Tabuk City, Kalinga, headed by Captain Bernard Glenn Dao-as, is set to conduct an Assembly Day on Friday, November 8, wherein accomplishments, a series of activities foreseen in the community, and a clear and comprehensive financial report are set to be presented.

As prescribed in Section 397 of Republic Act No. 7160, the barangay assembly aims to hear and discuss the semestral report of the Sangguniang Barangays concerning activities and finances, as well as problems affecting their respective jurisdictions.

Conducted twice a year, the assembly is a vital platform for barangay leaders to connect with residents, fostering transparency and encouraging community involvement in governance.

Besides receiving financial reports, the residents will also be given the opportunity to express their concerns, make inquiries, and give recommendations.

The BLGU is urging its residents to go and join the assembly because their ideas are important in the good governance and development of Barangay Appas.

“Encourage mi suda nga maki-participate da… Reports nu anya napanan ti pondo ti barangay kakasdiay ket maamwan da. Tapos nu adda queries to constituents idiay da amin nga ibaga.” said the BLGU through its secretary Brenda Depalog in an interview with the Guru Press Cordillera.

Depalog added that the assembly will start at 1:00 p.m. on said day at the new barangay hall of Appas.
