BSU alumna ranks 10th in Oct. 2023 foresters board exam

Benguet, Philippines – Mikaella Gabrielle Esquejo, an alumna of Benguet State University didn’t just make a name in national forestry quiz competition but also in the board exam.

On Monday, Oct. 23, the Professional Regulation Commission announced that 55.26% of the 1,947 takers of the October 2023 Forester Licensure Examination passed. This is equivalent to 1,076 examinees.

One of these passers is Esquejo who also landed number 10 in the list of top performing examinees in the exam held on Oct. 17 – 18, 2023. She got an average of 89.85%.

Esquejo, a Magna Cum Laude was an active student at BSU. Among her activities include joining the National Forestry QuizCon where she won 2nd place in March this year. The event was attended by 19 forestry universities and colleges in the Philippines.

The BSU College of Forestry, in a Facebook post, lauded Esquejo’s feat and wished her good luck as she presents their undergraduate research in the 13th Joint Regional Symposium and 6th Regional Student Research Congress at Apayao State College - Luna Campus on Oct. 23 - 26 - 27.

BSU, meantime, produced a total of 40 newly-licensed foresters.
