Tabuk City, Kalinga – To ensure the safety of iKalingas at night, solar-powered streetlights have been installed along the Bulanao-Dagupan Provincial Road, except for some sections currently being improved.

The Kalinga Provincial Information Office reported Monday, July 22, that the installation of streetlights from Block 3 Police Station, Purok 5 to the Rotary Marker as well as from the White Carabao Monument to Magsaysay, Tabuk City is already complete.

Once road improvement is concluded, particularly from Magsaysay Elementary School to Shell Gasoline Station Dagupan, streetlights shall also be put up in said section of the provincial road.

“Please be informed that the provincial government is diligently working to improve the provincial roads for the safety of the people,” said Provincial Information Officer Dionica Legasi.

In addition to the announcement made, she clarified that streetlights on national roads are under the care of the Department of Public Works and Highways, while those on the barangay roads are under the city government of Tabuk.

Thus, when having concerns on said infrastructures found in aforementioned areas, the public are urged to raise them to said offices.

Kalinga PLGU asked for the public’s support as improvement and development in the province’s provincial roads are being done.
